Dr. Kathy Poteet, originally from Maryland, graduated in 1990 from the University of Pennsylvania, College of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, she has a BS degree from Wilson College and a MS degree from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Poteet has practiced in the area since 1990, but joined the Animal Health Care Center in 1998 and became a practice owner in 2003.
Dr. Poteet's family includes Kay and two cats adopted through PAWS- Lucy and Tica. Their most recent addition is Cobe, an 8 year old rescued Great Dane.
Dr. Poteet enjoys traveling and sharing photos of her adventures. She has a passion for photography and gardening.
Dr. Katy Bilder has been with us since October of 2005. Dr. Bilder did undergraduate work in Biology at Juniata College and went on to graduate from Iowa State in 2001 with her DVM.
Dr. Bilder and her husband Allen have 3 children. Brei, Aidan and Brock …all of whom keep her very busy!
Along with the human ‘animals’ in the house, Dr. Bilder has 4 animals of the 4 legged variety! Bella the German Shorthaired Pointer, Maddie a mixed breed dog and Gordy another mixed breed.
As if all of those responsibilities weren’t enough, Dr. Bilder is active in her church, enjoys boating and other outdoor activities.
Dr. McIntire joined our staff in March 2009. Dr. McIntire did her undergraduate work at Clarion University and attended the University of Pennsylvania, receiving her VMD.
She and husband Steve have 4 children named Cassandra, Zac , Jake and Grace. Dr. McIntire has one pet, a Standard Poodle named Fleury.
Some of the many interests outside of work include hiking, biking, camping, swimming, gardening, reading, cooking and playing with her children.
Kathy Zippay,DVM
Dr. Kathy Zippay is originally from Charleroi, PA. She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She obtained her B.S. from Penn State in Animal Science and Physiology.
Dr. Zippay has worked in the Harrisburg area since 1991. She joined the Animal Health Care Center in September 2011. Her interests are emergency and critical care.
Dr. Zippay is married and has two sons who keep her very busy with extracurricular activities. She has a 3-legged Sheba Inu named Ryoka, three rescued cats, a cuban Anole named Esmeralda and a tortoise named Shelley.
Dr. Zippay enjoys long walks with her dog, cross stitching and spending time with her family.
Audrey Hoffmann,VMD,MBA
Dr. Audrey Hoffmann joined us in June 2012 and became part owner in early 2016. She received her biology degree from Elizabethtown College and then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine for her VMD. Dr. Hoffmann earned her MBA in May 2017 from Elizabethtown College.
Dr. Hoffmann grew up on a dairy farm in Lebanon, PA and has always been around both small and large animals. This upbringing as well as her background as a veterinary receptionist and vet assistant all played a role in her desire to become a veterinarian. Dr. Hoffmann enjoys her job and has a special passion for surgery and ultrasounds.
When she is not working, Dr. Hoffmann spends time with her husband and their dog Drago. Other hobbies include baking, basketball, fitness, and volunteering with World Vets International Aid For Animals.
