Tina Smith

IMG_0520.JPG Tina is a Harrisburg native who joined  the  Animal Health Care Center in 1994.  She has  been involved in veterinary  medicine locally  since 1985.

 Tina's family includes Steve and a  menagerie  of rescued pets. They have  three  mixed  breed  dogs, Lucy, Lolly and  Penny,  and  four  cats,  Munch, Tom, Birdie  and  Alfredo.

 In her time outside of being the  surgery  technician at the Animal Health  Care  Center, Tina is involved in ballet  dancing,  cat  rescue, and travel,  especially to Hawaii.  She  also enjoys  many outdoor activities:  walking  her  dogs, gardening, and playing  tennis. She  works at a local nursery and is responsible  for the many beautiful flowers and plants in and around our facility.

Stephanie Youtz, CVT

Steph.JPG Stephanie is originally from  Shellsville  but currently resides in  Annville. She is  a Licensed  Veterinary Technician  who received her degree from Wilson  College in 1993. Stephanie has  been in  the veterinary field since  1987 and  began working with us in  1998. She is    also our office  manager.

 Stephanie's family includes her husband  Rick, his sons Aaron and  Tyler,  and her  daughter, Sierra.  They  have a rescued  dog, a black  lab named  Montana, a  yellow lab named Boone and Tyler's dog,  a chocolate lab named Turbo.They also  have 3 goats named Miracle, Elmer and Lotus and a pot belly pig named Paisley. 

Stephanie likes to spend her free time with her family in the mountains where they enjoy snow mobiling, 4-wheeling, and jet skiing. She also enjoys reading.

Sue Miller

      sue.jpgSue is a Cumberland Valley High      School graduate and attended        Bradley  Academy for the Visual Arts  and Harrisburg Area Community  College.

 She grew up in Mechanicsburg and  now  resides in Hershey.

 Sue started with us in 1999 and  has  been involved in Veterinary  Medicine  since  1995.  She enjoys  pottery,  photography  and  baking in her spare  time. 

Jennie Hand                                                   


 Jennie began working with us in  1999.  She is originally from  Manheim and  currently resides in  Cleona with her  husband and two  daughters. She has  two chocolate  labs named Trotter and  Hogan, a  terrier named Sally and a cat  named  Alice.

 At work, some of her favorite  tasks  include handling  and  treating  exotic  animals and pocket  pets such as  rabbits,  guinea pigs and  hamsters. 

 In her free time, Jennie enjoys going to the beach, swimming, going to the movies, and spending time with her family. Additionally, Jennie is a HUGE Philadelphia Eagles fan who enjoys watching games at home or attending games in Philadelphia with her husband.

Shannon Hess, CVT

IMG_0557.JPG A Hershey native, Shannon and  her  husband Jerry, have two dogs, a  yellow lab mix named Franny and a    black lab named Atley, and three  cats:  Joker,  Szechuan and Troika.

 Shannon is a Licensed Veterinary  Technician in the States of New  York  and Pennsylvania who  earned  her  degree in 1998 from  Medaille  College  in Buffalo, New  York. She has  practiced in the  Central  Pennsylvania  area since  graduating and began  working  with us in 2004.

 Shannon enjoys continuing  education  and updating her  knowledge on animal  care. In her free time Shannon  enjoys,  hiking, running, watching the  Hershey  Bears.

Joy Persinger

joy.jpgJoy has worked at Animal Health Care Center since 2006.  She graduated from Messiah College in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in biology.

She lives in Mount Joy with her husband Brandon and daughter Annabelle along with their dog Cricket and cat Payne. Cricket regularly comes to the office with her and if you listen closely you can hear her howl. She is a 6 pound Chihuahua who usually goes by "Cakes".Her brother Payne is twice her size but somehow gets bossed around at home by the chihuahua. Joy and Brandon enjoy spending time taking walks with their tiny Chi, watching movies and traveling when able. Joy is an avid scrapbooker, self-proclaimed organizational pro and also loves to plan and coordinate events of all kinds.

Joy's favorite thing about working at AHCC is her great co-workers and bosses. Her favorite tasks are drawing blood and keeping the prescription food shelves stocked and organized. She also loves helping owners and their pets with weight loss as her own little dog needed to slim down when she was first adopted. She was 9 and 1/2 pounds! Joy looks forward to your next visit.

Amy  Ebersole

IMG_0523.JPG Amy joined us in 1998 and resides in Manheim  with  her husband, Kenny, and three children, son  Jared  and daughters Blake & Alyssa.

 Amy's family includes five dogs: Asa, Flint,  Riley,  Simon Jr, and Brooke. Amy also has a  cat  named  Twirley. In her  limited free  time, Amy enjoys  hiking,  gardening, playing with  all the dogs,  petsitting, and camping.

Tina Flowers

tinaflowers.jpgTina is a Central Pennsylvania native who joined the Animal Health Care Center in 1994. She has worked in animal care since 1986. Tina has extensive knowledge from her study and attendance at workshops on dog training and behavior, natural healthcare for pets, and Natural Horsemanship.

Tina's family includes many beloved pets: two dogs named Chuck and Henry,  a conure named Squirt, and two rose breasted cockatoos, Sunny and Pinkie. Tina also has a cat named Squeeky and 5 mini silky fainting goats.

In her time outside of the hospital, Tina enjoys baking organic food and treats for animals, visiting zoos, and is a talented wildlife painter. She is happy to be a part of the great team at Animal Health Care Center and is proud of the work we all do.

Wanda Lambert

wanda.jpgWanda joined the Animal Health Care Center in 2012. She works in our kennel keeping our patients comfortable.

Wanda is originally from Milton, Pa and moved to Palmyra in 1979. She has been an animal lover her whole life. She and her husband Keith have a Papichon named Freeway and a cat named Spooky. 

Wanda enjoys spending weekends with her family.She is an avid NASCAR fan and Chase Elliot is her favorite driver. She even owns a jacked-up AFLAC golf cart. 

Amber Donato, CVT

Amber_D.JPG Amber began working at the  Animal Health  Care Center in  April 2013. She is originally  from  Lancaster and  currently  lives in  Lebanon  with her  husband Sean and  daughter Sarah

 Amber graduated from the  Vet  Tech  Institute of  Pittsburgh in  2011. 

 At AHCC, Amber enjoys being the Monday  surgery tech and working appointments with our patients and clients the rest of the  week.

 Amber has five cats: Jack, Roo, Silly Goose,  Mickey and Herman. She also has a green- cheeked conure named Bird and a green- cheeked amazon named Jade. She also has a rescued pomeranian named Puff and a german shepherd named Gretchen.

Amber enjoys teaching her cats tricks in her spare time.

Coral Barbaretta, CVT

IMG_0792.JPG  Coral Started working at the    AHCC  in April of 2015. She is  originally  from Harrisburg and  attended  Central  Dauphin. Coral  graduated  from  Harcum College  in 2012. 

 Coral has a chocolate Lab named  Chloe  who was born in 2004 and  was  her  first pet.

 At work, Coral likes a variety of  cases,  especially performing  treatments to  help the animals.  She  has always been  interested  in exotics  and learning and  doing  new tasks. 

 In her spare time, Coral enjoys volleyball, scrapbooking and reading.
